You know I was up late a few nights ago watching Syfy channels "Sanctuary". The episode involved the team trying to save the life of what would most likely be termed a "cryptid". A giant spider who in the spiritual world is represented by a beautiful Indian woman.
The team believed that from the way other cryptids around the world reacted to the movements of this giant spider, there must be some kind of unseen connection between our world and the spider. The team fought to save her life and one of them gave up his life to save hers. I await the next episode to see if they were able to pull it off.
But in the now I think to myself, what would our world be like if there was a belief to circulate the world that there is a sacredness to life. That no one and no thing need hurt or kill another for any reason. But what would that world look like? Is it a place I'd want to live? How would one species provide for itself the most basic of necessities without depending on another?
It was then I realized that in trying to answer these questions I had just ventured into the realm of possibilities. That instead of just saying, "This is the way things are and the sooner we learn that the happier we are." Anything is possible if we believe it can be done. And I believe that it can be done and that it must be done for us to truly reach our fullest pottential as a species.
How can we expect the universe to welcome us with open arms when we can't welcome each other with open arms. We don't even respect the being who makes it possible for us to be here and do the things we do (mother earth).
A friend of mine once told me that I ask a lot of questions and raise some valid points for discussion and change, but that I was thin in the answer department. And he is absolutely correct. There are no answers here just observation and supposition with no definitive therories.
But it's not my place to tell you how to live your life. Don't you already know enough people who want to control you? However it is my place to tell you how things can be. I would think in a land of deserts that the man with water will be king but this is not always the case. Sometimes it's the woman with water. Sometimes it's the people with water. Sometimes it's a company with water. Sometimes it's the government with water.
I used this simple analogy to show that even in this world there are an infinite number of possibilities, realitys, and expressions revealing themselves to us if we give them ear.
So let me say this by way of an answer, "You must be given the freedom to choose your own path or know that in the moment you take away someone elses freedom you have doomed your own. From the very moment that someones life is worth less to you than your own, you have placed a price on your own. Finally, if there is no sanctity of life for all then there is no sanctity of life for any."

- I have discovered that the more I journey, the more I see, and the more I see, the more I despair. So I spend most of my time studying, chanting, praying, meditating, and laughing. I couldnt face the world I face every day without the help I receive from above.
